Image to Sound in TouchDesigner

What does an image sound like? In this hands-on workshop we’ll build a video-to-sound generator entirely inside TouchDesigner — no other software required.

We’ll start with a short look at different graphic scores, with examples of how artists and composers have used images as instructions for sound. Then we get into the practice: converting image data into signals and turning that into an instrument you can actually play. Using the Audio Oscillator CHOP and Trigger CHOP, you’ll build your own small synthesizer with different waveforms, envelopes, and your own videos as input.
